MIFUMI ADVOCACY Network project

movement building to strengthen women leadership and transform gender power relations in communities

MIFUMI women’s Network is a vibrant movement comprising of MIFUMI, Women’s Rights Champions( women, men, boys and girls), duty bearers and local partners. The three year project ( 2019-2022) is helping mobilise individuals and communities into champions to start influencing positive changes on gender equality and women empowerment; and to lead community action to preventing and responding to Violence Against Women and Children. This programme is being implemented in Tororo, Bukedea and Budaka Districts with support from FCDO, UKAID and The Jo Cox Foundation.
So far, the project has mobilised over 314 network members and reached who have reached over 6600 people across the 6 communities of the project’s location.


Through this project MIFUMI is enabling individuals, communities and institutions through unique approaches such as handheld support, knowledge and skills impartation using various tools and mentorship so they can start to influence, practice, attitudes, perceptions, beliefs, actions, inclusion and equal opportunities for all among other things.
